The Al Bedoo Oriental Band is associated with several other Shriners organizations.
Al Bedoo Shrine Temple
The Al Bedoo Shrine Temple is located in Billings, Montana. This is our local headquarters, we gather here every Friday night to fellowship and practice our music.
Shriners of North America
Shriners of North America is the national association that governs all Shrines. Shriners offers men and their families an opportunity to meet new friends who have similar interests. There are 191 Shrine Temples, or chapters, located in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Republic of Panama. Informal Shrine Clubs are located around the world.
Shriners of North America have a philanthropic mission as well-- to support Shriners Hospitals for Children, a world-class network of 22 pediatric specialty hospitals located throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Since 1922, Shriners Hospitals for Children have significantly improved the lives of more than 800,000 children.
Association of Shrine Oriental Bands
The Association of Shrine Oriental Bands or A.S.O.B. is the national association that governs oriental bands throughout North America. They are one of only two national Shrine Associations that directly contribute to the Shrine Hospital Fund. To date, the A.S.O.B. through its philanthropy the "Ladder of Smiles" has contributed over $1.9 million to the Hospital Fund. A demonstration of Shriners truly helping kids!
The A.S.O.B. produces the annual Oriental Band Competition at Imperial. In keeping with the best Oriental Bands in North America, the A.S.O.B. Imperial Trophies are representative of the achievement of such an honor. All expenses for the Fantasy such as judges, trophies and room charges are paid for by the Association.
Pacific Northwest Shrine Oriental Band Association
The Pacific Northwest Shrine Oriental Band Association or P.N.S.O.B.A. is our regional association that we belong to as members.
